Our counseling service is available to operational small businesses only. 

The Mason SBDC defines an operational small business as one that has:

· a draft business plan

· at least some initial client revenue

· at least three full-time employees

Once we have received your completed application, a Mason SBDC Services Coordinator will contact you to review the counseling process and answer any questions you may have.

 

Counseling Sessions

All counseling sessions are by appointment only.  When you come to Mason SBDC for your initial counseling session, your assigned Business Counselor will discuss your business plan with you, provide feedback, discuss any challenges that you are facing, and offer advice on managing the continued growth of your business.  At the end of the counseling session, your Business Counselor will review your resulting “Action Plan” and discuss scheduling of any required follow-up counseling sessions.
