Overview

For over a decade, the Mason Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at George Mason University – Mason Enterprise Center at the School of Public Policy has been assisting small business owners in Northern Virginia.  Today our team of experienced Business Counselors provides one-on-one counseling to owners of operational small businesses in Fairfax, Arlington, and Prince William Counties.

 

The program is a cooperative effort of the private sector, academia, and government designed to foster economic development by providing operational small businesses with management and technical assistance. Mason SBDC is actively engaged with Mason students, alumni, and faculty entrepreneurs, along with other non-profits, businesses, and individuals in the Mason community.

 

Mission

Our mission is to create a positive impact on the regional economy by leveraging University and other resources to provide innovative, high-value services to small businesses with growth potential. 

 

Our success is measured by the success of our client companies in terms of:
